Stick Insect

Considered pests before pets, insects, such as ants, termites, beetles, cockroaches, millipedes, praying mantis, stick insects, grasshoppers, and bugs, make exotic pets. In the US, the most popular are ants; they are kept in commercial ant farms. But other countries keep insects as common household pets. Eastern cultures have kept singing crickets and Katydids for thousands of years. Crickets stop singing when disturbed by other noise, thus, were valued. Easy care and fascinating socialization studies make insects fascinating pets.
