Primitive wolf-hybrid dogs are wolf crossbreeds having wolf pack tendencies: shyness towards strangers, active rough playfulness, food/possession protectiveness, and tight owner attachment. Exceptionally intelligent, diggers, and climbers, escape-proof roomy pens and short gentle training phases with special motivators are advisable. Wolf-hybrid puppies develop rapidly, but mentally mature more slowly. Proper training and intensive socialization produce devoted pets. These very hearty, healthy dogs live 16-20 years.
